2022 marks the 25th anniversary of TMAS

PRESSRELEASE: In 2022, TMAS - Textile Machinery Association of Sweden, celebrates 25 years of hearts in textiles, and minds on machinery. Driven by our love for textile, and our dedication to providing the most creative, cutting edge machinery solutions for the global textile industry we keep working for a more sustainable future together with our member companies.

TMAS was founded in 1997 to support and promote Swedish textile machinery manufacturers. The organization has become an important factor of the industry’s international success through initiating and coordinating activities and important international trade fairs. Another key factor is helping with business intelligence, seminars and trainings.

“The business for TMAS member companies is about much more than just supplying a machine or technology. Today, we have to understand and be prepared to integrate with procurement, administration, production and stock handling systems in order to create a complete, intelligent system and efficient processes for our customers. This means working closely with the users of our products and solutions and supplying a flow of ideas on efficiency, quality improvements, how to reduce waste and support adaption for automation”, says Chairman Mikeal Äremann.

The past year has meant a higher gear in the sustainability work for both the organization and the member companies. An analysis has been made to review the climate footprint of the organization together with the esteemed partner’s ClimatePartner. In parallel, innovations and collaborations among member companies and with their customers support this development.

“Change is the key word in our industry right now. Sustainability is both the biggest challenge and opportunity we are faced with. The priority and focus is on digitalization and speed to market. The need for automation is increasing and the demand for smarter solutions is here to stay”, says Therese Premler-Andersson, Secretary General.

The anniversary is celebrated with a special logo and a joint study trip for the members in the autumn.
